Not until December 14th, but there is a huge Santa Cruise ride out that starts at the house of Vans @ 10am and finishes back at the same place around 8pm. The whole day just cruising London, 500 - 800 people all dressed as Santa, Elves, presents, you name it.
I will take some pics and video and post when done. really looking forward to this years event as missed last years.

A snip of last years just to prove it is a thing.......cool

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Here's a few screen grabs from my upcoming birthday edit. A lil backstory:
In spring of this year I set out to film 50 tricks to celebrate my turning 50 at the end of November. My goal was to relearn some of my late 80's tricks as well as to attempt to regain some of my 89-95 park tricks. Well rehabbing my house, selling it, moving to an apartment in the burbs, 3 graduations (kindergarden, 8th grade & HS) then moving from the apartment to a house AND neck injury, set me back. I was forced to use a few variations of tricks (which I didn't want to) and didn't relearn all of what I wanted. I refused to use any old clips or tricks. Everything was pulled and filmed from March of 2019-November 2019. Long story short, it's just more motivation to do another edit by the end of next summer once I relearn more stuff.

At 46, i feel like my best year are behind me. With that said, in 2019 i was probably more happy with my riding than previous years. In 2017 i had an idea for a link, backwards hang 5 in a full circle, to backwards manual full circle. It took me until August of this year, but i finally got it! Damn it felt good! Now, with that said, im injured and possibly facing a relatively long recovery. Likely my rotator cuff, or hopefully just damaged tendons and/or muscles in my upper arm.  Got an xray today, scheduled for an mri on Monday. Its pretty painful,  haven't worked, rode, or even slept very well since Thursday. Pretty bummed out.

Either of you industry guys have a line on a job for me? I probably need to get out of construction. 25 years of it has wore me out pretty badly.

Just got my MRI results, partial rotator cuff tear. No surgery required at this time. Its feeling way better than a week ago. Might need physical therapy, but im hoping to avoid it.

Do the PT Matt. It's helped a lot on my neck. You'll be back up & ridin' in NO time!

You're correct. I do need pt, i guess to be clear, im trying to avoid going somewhere and paying for it. Haha! My doctor told me there are plenty of vids that will show the stretches and excercises that I can do at home. I've been getting going on them already.  Its really not feeling great, this may take longer than i thought? Its NOT easy being an old guy who still wants to ride!

On what was possibly the last nice day before "Impending Doom" (winter) hits the midwest, I went out with my friend Jim and got work done! He's an oldschool flatlander and never really learned how to bunnyhop. Today I showed him how and even had him jumping gaps and wedges. I also relearned some of my old stuff. 1st time in a LONG time I got the front tire over coping on fakies. I even went out again and got a night cap!

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Went to York today to do the Cranksgiving ride where we hit a bunch of grocery stores and get stuff for the York County Food Bank. Rode 21 miles, hit 4 grocery stores and one skatepark.

This is why I say BMX is a type of riding, not a type of bike.
