Over the weekend I wanted to get in some flat, dirt, vert, park and street.  I got them all in but street.  Luckily, on my way home, I found this gap.  Man, I grew up doing this stuff all day long and now I never do it.  Nice to know I can still get it done.

Windy inspired shot. This weekend I rode with friends and we have all come to the point of giving up on the open face  bike helmets. Especially after seeing another friend get hurt late last week. It's just not worth it.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

I had an amazing weekend a few weeks ago when I attended Voodoo Jam Flatland contest at New Orleans. So many good friends and fellow flatlanders were in attendance, plus the riding level was incredible. I was lucky enough to grab 3rd place in the Ams class!
Here's a video of my run and some photos:

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Same ol', same ol', ramp to flat.  But this and racing on local "construction site" tracks, basic flatland work and "The Trails" were the venues available to me bitd.  Skater quarter pipes I knew some kids had were entirely too narrow for a bike.  So, given the limited amount of time I get to ride, I do what I most enjoyed bitd... go fast and go jump...

Until a combination of a huge contusion to my right hip and thigh and traveling to see wifes fam for 18 days, took me out for nearly a month, my end of 2019 season goal was to regain the ability to layout a flat top in true old school jump to flat fashion.  Not sure about this year, but IT WILL HAPPEN!!!  LOL!!!

HUTCH please, neat or on the rocks;  black'n'chrome or chrome'n'black, pure and unadulterated...like savoring a 20 year old single malt Scotch.  If I wanted a candy color flavor, I'd have ordered a glass of Haro.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Oh and here is a little extra challenge I have staring me down every time I jump; the neighbors front lawn has a slightly raised iron lidded manhole at left, which can be seen in the uncut grass and their driveway mounted mailbox on a steel post to my right.  That frankin post is like a magnet to my bike apparently!!! Lololol!

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

I had a quick session at one of the local parks in between dress shopping for my daughter last night. Just trying to log some hours and get the comfort/confidence level up while on ramps again.
