that shot reminds me of a kid who in high school claimed he could bunny hop a shopping cart on its side.

There's a shopping cart at my spot. Want me to get a photo of that?

Whoa?! 60 miles!  Not me. Lol

The 60 miles are nothing compared to the 6000 feet of climbing...

I'd do it if it was 6000 feet of downhill. lol

well yeah we use "road bikes" whatever that means now I have no idea, I use A Schwinn le Tour w/ a kick stand on it that was dug out of the trash. Keep up with most guys on carbon fiber wonder bikes, I'll be 48 very soon so you know bike riding is something you can keep doing for a long time. We do do a bmx "cruise" that is way easier and only 45 miles, loads of fun. This ride kicks my butt every year and it is the only day all year where I sleep soundly, finally beating my monkey mind into submission. smile

Apparently Ross Pederson of MX fame could bunny hop over the hood (like the whole front end) of a car. The article didn't mention the model of said car.

Re: the old guys who still want to ride thread!

Last weekend I found myself eating breakfast in a diner across the street from my old best friend's house.  I had spent so many afternoons riding in front of his house I decided to pull a drive by and see how things looked.  I remembered the first photo shoot we ever did was in front of the house and some of the photos.  I went around the corner and pulled out my bike to recreate one of them.  The first was shot in Spring 1985, the second was shot in Spring 2019.  My girlfriend said "Thirty four years is a whole lifetime".  Yeah, she is right.  These photos made me emotional thinking about all the memories, friends and experiences BMX has given me.

Dude that's awesome.  I know the feeling.  Last time I was back in Colorado visiting my dad, I had some time and drove out to my old 80's neighborhood.

Trees are bigger, houses are smaller. Friends are all gone... it's a trip.

Great pics man

Nice pics phw, I have done one of those before and now pics myself. Like you say, it makes you think about a lot. Time slides by so very quick, it seems you blink and a decade has passed. Props to the way you still ride, enjoy....cool

Done, except we did 25+ miles on 20's. I really think my son is trying to kill me, I have a hard time keeping up with him. If we keep this up he'll have me in shape here before long. lol

After an hour of screwing around, bunny hopping better than I could as a kid.
Not great, but not bad....

This box paid the ultimate sacrifice for it's part in these photos.
