Re: basset repro too!!!!

Somebody has been making repro Bassett frames for years and passing them off as original on ebay. Ever notice how many "NOS" Bassett frames there are on the market?
Probably the same people who are faking Tuf Neck stems and seat clamps.

For some, yes.

Re: basset repro too!!!!

They have 20" and 24" coming out in two weeks. Saw em yesterday at the Oceanside 4130 ride. Modern tube diameters, and brake mounts. I think it's just Paul fabricating, making around 5 bikes a weekend...just reliving his childhood like the rest of us. They arent trying to compete with SE.
They have respect for the 79-82 stuff, nothing will be remade, just new designs.

Cool, if someone is happy making them (Especially someone involved the first time around), and others are happy to buy them - it's all good as far as I can see. cool

Re: basset repro too!!!!

I'd be into a Star Cruiser for sure.

Also, if the nay sayers bothered to even read the product descriptions, you'd know they are not exact to the originals.

They're not doing the 3-bar type Star Cruiser with the continuous bend like back in the day.

I thought the Bassett family were making those and still making them today.
