Re: 1985 GT Pro Series

Very nice looking GT!

Good to know the MX 900's work on this frame. I'm building a 83 Pro which I already purchased 900's for but wasn't sure if the reach would be enough.

Well done.

LOOKING FOR........ or consider in a Trade ;
-Red Pro Neck 42,43,44T -Hutch small 2n1 headlock
-National Pro / Pro Neck handle bars straight cross bar
-Black set and Blue set of O wing grips
-mint chrome or alloy rear 901

Re: 1985 GT Pro Series

This is how the frame looked before restoring the og finish, it looked as though somebody tried to polish it with sandpaper.....

Re: 1985 GT Pro Series

That came out great! What did you do to restore the finish? I have an '85 Pro I just gave the OA treatment, but it's not as shiny as I'd like.

Re: 1985 GT Pro Series

I used various grades of jewellers rouge, it is cheap and it works really well.  Just get used to red powder getting everywhere when you start big_smile

If I recall correctly they are 36 hole laced 3x front and rear and I used 181mm on the front and 183mm on the rear.
