Re: How We Roll BMX Documentary

Well I guess that answers the question, "Should Sting Rays be in the MUSEUM?".

Very cool  Thanks for posting this.

Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2010 GT Ultrabox 2, 2011 Crupi race rig and prototype Quamen, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates and pads - UGP, Knucklebone, Lizard Skins, Pryme and the like, me like!!

As I heard Bob Osborn say, there were Stingray style bikes being raced, and Schwinn sent a young engineer to the track and copied those bikes to make the stingray. I don't think stingray started it... Old Stingray bikes if configured to bmx belong here, though.

My first BMX bike was a stingray type bike, but I quickly upgraded to a Rampar in 78, then a Redline MXII in 79. Never raced a stingray type frame.

Never knew those banana seat bikes were being raced LOL.  I remember my mom had one in the basement when I was a kid.
