2014 WeThePeople Atlas 24
2014 WeThePeople Atlas 24
The 24" addiction continues.
Pretty much stock right now aside from adding a left handed brake lever. Added some Stolen Joint HP 24s and some Stolen Deviant w/ 8.9" rise.
Feels like a really solid ride. Haven't had much time on it yet since it's been raining here but hopefully soon.
My only real complaint about it is that the clear coat on it seems really brittle. Other than that, it's a great bike.

I like it a lot , the first WTP that ever caught my eye .
There are no free rides here. Everyone puts in work, whether cliqued up or not. I'm not talking about helping us with our computer skills. You'll get your f*cking hands dirty like the rest of us.

Thanks, man.
Couple of updated shots with the new bars and tires. Hopefully getting some good weather this week and I can take it out for a full on spin.

Hi Don! I'm thinking about buying a Atlas as well. How are you doing so far? Did you enjoy the first rides? Do you like it? It looks nice. But I think it's important to change the tires... The Stolen ones aren't available in Europe... What do you think about the Odyssey Aitkens?
Thanks!

Haven't tried the Aitkens but the only thing I would say is that if they are bigger than the Stolens(2.2), they are probably not going to fit. The rear is a pretty tight fit.
And so far, it rides like a dream! I'm loving it!

So finally: Which one rides better? The WTP Atlas or your Stolen Saint? Thanks!

Though question. I wouldn't really say one rides better than the other. The Atlas feel a bit more "smooth" with it's mellower angles, longer top tube and shorter BB hieght. I feel I can get a bit more agressive with the Stolen but I have ridden it a whole lot more and I'm more accustomed to it. I'm waiting for Stolen to release the Gold 24 frame. Really want to give that a shot.

How do you like those tires so far? How are they over the stock ones?

I'm really digging them. Not worth a damn for dirt but I mostly ride street anyway. Really solid feeling and I run them at about 85psi and not the full 110psi.

Re: 2014 WeThePeople Atlas 24
Thanks, I just purchased one and look forward to riding it. Any suggestions for upgrades based on your experiences? I plan on using this as my daily street commuter to work, but might take it on the local pump dirt track every once in a blue moon.

For me, personally, I felt the only thing that really needed upgrading were the bars. The stock bars were a little too short for me.
