Very cool he kept the bike thru it all.

I think the hope was that Michael would show up here and comment.  If y'all start talking about train stations and stuff, he probably wont.

Re: Michael Strahan rides a Kuwi Laserlite

Just watched Michael Strahan's a football life and he taks about and still rides his 83 Kuwi Laserlite.
New York members should hit him up on social media and invite him on a ride.  Would be cool to see a man that big on a old school BMX Bike.

Re: Michael Strahan rides a Kuwi Laserlite

Hate to bump but I just watched this on the NFL channel. Strahan said his Laserlite cost $1200, damn ... His dad said if he earned half he would cover the rest. Won't let kids ride it, means alot to him. cool

Very cool Dad to do that.  My Mom did the same for me.  I saved my paper route money, mowed lawns, swept yards, anything to make a dime.  When I picked out my Race Inc, I was still about $100 short.  My Mom covered the rest.  And while I still have my Race Inc, I lost my mother almost a year ago.  That bike has become my most prized possession, I will never sell it.  And unlike Michael, I still can, and do,  ride my bike.  Every time I do, I feel my Mom is with me.  I'm sure Michael has the same connection with his Dad and his bike, and why he never sold it.

Re: Michael Strahan rides a Kuwi Laserlite

While I am not a sportsball kinda guy it is cool to see such a nice laser lite and someone who appreciates it so much.

One quick point though regarding the price on the Kuwahara. I remember Laser Lites being around 600 dollars new back in the day. Makes me wonder if his dad pulled a fast one. Coincidence that is half of 1200? smile "Yeah son I will pay half if you come up with half. The bike is 1200 dollars!"

It most likely was in Germany where he lived at the time.

In 1988 up here in Canada a Haro Team Master was $1295 and in the states it was maybe $500
just for perspective.

I was getting tired of watching the paint dry (commercials!) and my lap top did too! It got hung up at 45 seconds left. Will wait for a edited version.

Someone needs to tell the cat.

1. That bike needs gum walls.

2. Kuwahara made a cruiser.
