Wasn't me but I did get a Cook Bros. cruiser recently. I flipped a coin and went for the Cook Bros.

I saw it minutes after it was posted but didn't make a play for it because I had a hectic day. Darren.....you get this one? In your neck of the woods.

Re: Gary Littlejohn 26" Fireroad... who got it?

i caught it about an hour in, so knew it wasn't going to happen from the start... (i know you guys are always on it) tongue  would have made a fun spring build, though.  just wanted to know their plans for it w/ before and afters... it looked in rough, but definitely not unworkable.

Re: Gary Littlejohn 26" Fireroad... who got it?

I was the lucky one. I came hom for lunch and looked on CL and there it was. 2nd posting down. I emailed the guy and raaaaaaan to pick it up. Cook bros forks. It has all the early cool mountain bike parts - TA cranks and Mafac brakes etc. Dont know what way to go. Resto or just clean it up. If I restore I going to have to grind off the brake ferules.smile

Re: Gary Littlejohn 26" Fireroad... who got it?

I would say clean it up but don't modify it.  That thing has history outside of BMX.

Very cool.

Please don't let me buy any bikes from you.  I have an addiction.  You wouldn't want to be an enabler, would you?

Thanks. I'm going to clean/tune it and go for a ride. Looks like it was painted over after mods back in the day. smile
