1984 Haro FST

Rare 84 FST non serial number unique gen 2 tubing

I recently purchased this rare 84 Fst of museum member jsadamski in awesome OG condition............http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/img/smilies/big_smile.pngNow if you are wondering what makes this framesets so rare well ..........firstly they have no serial number and no chevrons stamped in the gusset ,,,,the rear seat and chain stay tubes are gen 2 tapered geometry and the seat post bracket plate is welded on top of the standing platform not in the centre like other Fst,s .......All so  the decals are for an 85 model not an 84Some say these were a made by Torker and never fully completed before Anlun took over  and others believe they were just made up of left over frame parts from the 84 production that Torker never completed  and decal,d up as and 85 year model to sell them in early 85 by Anlun ....Regardless of the reasons behind their production these are still very unique and there are only a limited few currently in the museum ,,,,,,,,another fine addition to my Haro Stable......http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/img/smilies/big_smile.png THANK YOU JasonReference and information about these frames https://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=717608 https://s6.postimg.cc/8fh66uyld/83logo.jpg

Re: 1984 Haro FST

I have 2 chrome that I am building to submit. You probably have my old white one...I think a member here picked mine up when I sold it. Luckily I was able to pick up a pair of chrome unstamped FSTs here as well.

Re: 1984 Haro FST

I had what I believe was an 84 complete that I sold to DansHaros some years ago. It had no serial number but did have the chevrons stamped in the gusset. It also had the tapered chainstay tubing. I purchased it from the original owner so I was able to verify the parts it came with. That what makes me think it was a late 84. Hee a pic of how I received the bike...owner told me when he bought the bike, he had the bike shop add the CW bars, the tuff neck stem and the Tioga laid back post. And he also gave me the blue Anlun stem that didn't have Potts Mod. He didn't have the seat post.

Look at those drop outs! Looks like the wheel was ever even removed...rust there was just on the surface and came right off. Though I almost had an asthma attack from all the dust and cat hair on it while cleaning it!!

Re: 1984 Haro FST

Great Pic,s  djbdb ,,,,,,that,s the first one  I have see with the chevron stamped in the gusset ,,,,,Dom has recently unearth some info about these and thinks they were made by Torker in the closing months of production before it was moved to Anlun in Taiwan ,,,,very interesting ............;)

I think I just picked up one of these frames?? No serial number standing plate on top. Sending a pm. Maybe you can help me??

Build your bikes the way you want. Always looking for 85/86 dyno but don't always have money for them.
