2012 Sunday Funday

It's been a long, fun trip.  UPDATED 1/6/14

I was gonna wait until I had the final pieces to submit this one, but I just couldn't wait to share it. I got lucky and randomly seen the frame on eBay awhile back, which was late in the game so to speak. It was NOS, so I prowled the internet and even got a little creative on finding parts, right down to noticing an Orange Soda in the background of a different bike being listed on eBay. Some of these parts came from Dpercival, random eBay sellers, and even bought the fork from the U.K. and had em shipped stateside. Since I couldn't find Orange Soda rims I went with Vapor Blue wheels instead, figured I'd just use blue tires and keep the Aaron Ross tires NOS. Seat, bottom bracket, stem, and inner tubes are all that's left. Going to have a local place match the color on the bottom bracket and Odyssey Elementary stem. This was the most expensive build so far.....but I have a Hutch Trick Star II in the works next, so I feel this will soon be 2nd most expensive for me so far. Hope ya'll like it!!!! 1/16/14 I finally went ahead and put everything together. I went with a Sunday Freeze stem in Vapor Blue, but I'm still going to paint match a Odyssey Elementary stem, hopefully I'll be able to find a nice looking Odyssey Director fork in correct color, if not, paint matching time. I still need to install the brakes and this one is pretty much done. I didn't have enough spacers for the headset setup, so I added the white spacer to match the Sunday Funday logo since I didn't have any orange or blue spacers. I originally went with Vapor Blue wheels over not being able to find Orange Soda wheels, but now that this is together, it looks AMAZING in my eyes. Again hope ya'll enjoy, because I love it. P.S. Also going to buy a Vapor Blue brake setup, blue tires, and some Kenda orange tires. Gonna give myself a few color options on this one to display it also.

Very nice. Good work finding all of that stuff.

I think it would be about as easy finding a new $3 bill.

Faved. cool

Re: 2012 Sunday Funday

Thanks RadicalNick, it was a little rough, especially tough when you consider I live check to check, tip to tip. Having rent to pay, and making sure these parts didn't slip through my fingers. I honestly enjoyed the "thrill of the hunt" with this one. Probably won't attempt a limited run Sunday again unless I get started right away versus waiting till it's 2 yrs old, almost 3. lol

Most of that parts kit came from you. I still have this beauty and it STILL has never been ridden. Never even sat on it.
