1982 Patterson Pro

82 Patterson Pro with my favorite parts from 80-84.

This one has been a really fun and lengthy bike to assemble.... I blame this whole build on acquiring the fork years ago. http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/img/smilies/smile.png
I had most of the parts ready until I found the right frame. Once the frame arrived - the bike was fully finished in about 2 hours.  I couldn't help myself.
Frame - 1982 Patterson Pro
Fork - Bottema Skatepark Fork
Bars - Redline "Stu Thompsen" STR Bars
Cranks - Redline 401 Flight Cranks
Sprocket - 44t Redline 401 Flight
Pedals - Shimano DX
Tires - Vintage Raleigh CS Snakebellies (1.75")
Rims - Chrome Araya 7x
Hubs - Campagnolo Tipo BMX hubs
Seatpost - MCS
Seat - Elina
Seat Clamp - Dia Compe 2-pc
Stem - GT Mallet (from an 84 Pro)
Grips - AME Cam
Headset - 1984 GT Epoch
Caliper - Dia Compe MX 1000
Lever - Dia Compe Tech-3
Frame
Pad - Brown Suede Leather

Re: 1982 Patterson Pro

Took the ol' Patterson out for a cruise this weekend..
http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/7439/patterson_ride_april13_2014a58365f12b7.jpg

AND..... (don't kill me) - but we stumbled upon a new skatepark in Philly, and I HAD to give these Bottema forks some proper meaning.
I was inspired to channel Jeff Watson!  smile

Absolutely - I was even more impressed with how it handled than I thought I was going to be. smile  The geometry on these early Pattersons are great - and those Redline STR bars are insanely comfortable.

Thanks!

This one isn't actually a "Long" - it's just a standard "Pro".
But I do another frame that is an 82 Patty Long. I may build it up at some point.
