Black & blue builds

I need some ideas on a black f&f  and blue parts builds.

I have a black OM Flyer f&f that I want to build, just not sure on the color combo.
Gold is out, I have one already so I'm thinking Blue.

Thanks

Re: Black & blue builds

It's the hardest combo out there.

This isn't the same, but it's the most black and blue I've used:

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

I like to wear sneakers on my hands because it's much better when you crash - and if you're wearing sneakers on your hands, you're gonna crash.

Re: Black & blue builds

I would take JTinnc's Sunday and put a blue stem, seat calmp and entire brake system. I'd change up his wheels also...black rims, blue nipples, black spokes, blue hubs. Make sure there's some blue in the grips and a little blue in the seat and most important...make sure all the blues match!

Now that's how you use blue as an accent color!

Re: Black & blue builds

That looks beautiful townslo.  I would say if the blues were like a "sky blue" it would be a very easy match.  Dark blue and black is the hardway.

Here's my son's Haro build. Mostly black, with bluewall Kenda Kontacts, blue brake cables, pads, cable crimps, and blue VP pedals. Fav it under My Bikes if you think we did a good job! smile
