Re: Hey! Whats your Number(plate)?

As a child it was always 69. Racing at 5-6 with this plate number. Thought it was awesome my brother put a bunny sticker on as I was known as "rabbit" cuz I was pretty fast on the track. Got older and learned what the bunny decal actually was and what "69" meant. It's no wonder my parents insisted I change my race number as a kid and I kept refusing. lollollol

Re: Hey! Whats your Number(plate)?

I raced in the 80's and my plates are about the only things I kept from bitd. They have tons of personal history to me and I ran these for a few years either # 16 or 16P

You would not believe what I won this for on Ebay last week. Saw how low it was and threw out a bid. Won by 50 cents! Cleaned up to near mint...

Re: Hey! Whats your Number(plate)?

I still have two that I raced with (#66). The others are ones I started collecting after joining this money pit.  Timmy Judge's plate (#8) is in the middle. A Few Hutch plates on the left signed by TJ and Toby. I tried to re-create a plate that Steve Veltman ran. The others are CRIT plates and some Haro's. One with just autographs from Pistol Pete, Eddy King, Veltman, Bob Haro, Scot Breithaupt and Stu.

What I like the best is your number is next to mine  I was #65 when it changed from Cal 8 to Cal 15 ending in 1981 so I rode 65 through 1982 Cal 15. ABA

Seeing these old plates makes me sad. My mom tossed out my old Dyno and Zeronine race plates when they moved about 10 years ago. sad

Re: Hey! Whats your Number(plate)?

Never raced and do not know if there was a track anywhere close to my town.  We all had "freestyle" bikes and when the LBS stocked the new Haro Flo Panels, we all had to have one.  I think only one or two of us had numbers, but we all had skateboard stickers.  My original has yet to be found, but I hope it is still somewhere in my parent's house hidden for now, so I recreated it to finish my 87 Predator Freeform.

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa27/1972ss454/bikes/IMG_20131231_195248.jpg
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa27/1972ss454/bikes/2012-02-25_16-43-16_176.jpg
Shortly after taking this picture, I lost the Jinx sticker while I was moving across town.mad  The good news is I have a stash of Jinx decals because I was "the Jinx collector" for a few years, and just put a different color in its place.

I know a lot of guys get aggravated seeing this, but it was what we did as most of us only used our bikes to cross town to ride our skateboards.  I have a Haro FST on the was and plan to search for another one to use some of my other old Skateboard decals as I am tired of seeing them sitting in a ziploc in a drawer.
