Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
I've been dying to get ahold of the new Ezra convertible Cassette/Freecoaster to see how that one is, it looks real promising. I'm riding a cassette now, but I used to ride a Basic Bikes freecoaster. I got it in a bike pile, and I had it laced to an Alex something or other at the LBS when it was still open. It was the first freecoaster they'd ever seen Eventually it just wore out, and I went the cheapest route and got a cassette hub. But I miss the freecoaster.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
The Ezra is holding up nice.I have some guys on it for about 6 months now with no problems. Hard for me to run one. The slack just kills me,hard to teach a old dog new tricks.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
Ezra would be cool to try. Switching to back and fourth is a neat option. I think I would just keep it in coaster mode myself.
I have a KHE Reverse V2. I love this thing. With 3 washers, the slack is set to where I like it. Sooo much fun.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
I'm interested in the éclat, revenge, and profile.
I have a couple profile nankai and a revenge prototype I'll try out in the next week but those are the ones I look forward to.
Would you like a Fat Tire, Big Sprocket, or Short Rear End. Pick two.

Odyssey reloader
mangled a butterfly spring within 2 weeks. Made a custom completely opposite spring design and its better than before. Someone learning all the basics ground up rides it daily with no issues.. I always ask her. Has the backwheel done anything funny yet? "No"

Curious if the primo freemix will be the same as the cult freecoaster. Just like their cassettes...

My Alienation V2 Rush has been holding up pretty good. I am looking forward to the Cult and Revenge Ind. freecoasters. I won't buy a new one until mine craps out.

How do you like the adjusting the slack through the end of the axle?

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
4 nankai, 2 Taska, 1 suntour, 1 bendix, 1 KHE Geisha lite. HATE the Taskas, love everything else. The suntour and bendix are obviously the 80's models with the twist pins to go from freewheel to coaster.

I like it just fine. It is easy to adjust but like most freecoasters they need a good greasing every once in while.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
well, im huge coaster fan! i have rode nankai's for a long time and they are probably my fav's. i have a unbrake converted suntour that works equally as good as the nankai. the lack of smaller driver sizes is the only downside if your wanting to go with a smaller drive train. i had a Poverty Freeloader, it imploded in no time. an old taska that sucked also. i put a newer style taska u-free on a bike and it seems ok, but it hasnt really been tested much. i just got a sweet deal on an alienation v2 and i cant wait to try it out! its on my everyday bike, so i'll give my opinion after a few sessions later this week and over the weekend.

Let me know what you think on the slack adjustment. If the slack moves at all from being an end axle adjustment over the washer system.

Easily the best freecoaster on the market. And KHE didn't come up with the internals, they leased them from Alienation and said they designed it. I run the rush 2 and it's awesome!

the same thought crossed my mind also, i'll see how it goes. just messing around in the basement it seems like if i set it at the least amount position, its just about like my nankai. it might be a hair less slack, but i plan on taking my allen wrench for the first several times i ride it.
