1987 Haro Sport
1987 Haro Sport
1987 HARO SPORT is ready for a complete restoration.
Always wanted a white/black Haro Sport. Love the color combo. Paint done by LOU in Orlando. All parts are OEM as well.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Thanks! This will be the last one of the 3 projects that will be completed. I have to clean the Peregrine 48's and ship the bike up to C4 labs for powder.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Almost done. This frame is with Lou and he's painting it white/black for me. Once I get it back (maybe a few weeks) I'll get it together and that should do it for awhile.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
It's going to be painted white/black and not teal/black?

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Yep, white/black. I already have enough blue and green bikes and wanted to break it up a little. That teal/black is a fave of minr though. Lou is doing a repaint so I will have it back within days

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Marcos, I posted in your other thread with the new pictures of this Sport but I just couldn't resist posting here. Your collection of Haros is growing faster then I can post. Beautiful restoration!

Finally done. I left a photo of how it looked before I had it done. I really wanted to go teal/black with the yellow decals but didn't have many white Haros so I decided to go white instead. If I find a teal/black for sale I will grab it

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Here's an updated photo (courtesy of Charlie Brown) of this bike after I applied the complete set of NOS decals that I found on ebay. It's also riding on what used to be prior to this day, a pair of NOS Haro tires. The other pics in my museum show how the word SPORT on the repops is a darker blue compared to this NOS set. I also threw on a layback post just for riding purposes since it provides a little more room than the straigh post.

It looks great! I always try to use NOS decals when I can get them. The re-pro's don't always have the right colors.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
Had this identical bike, got it in 92 in the box at Fredricks Cycle in Cleveland Ohio borrowed and never returned in 97 ,sn87023148 .I miss it so much it's haunted me for years and more so recently when I found your pic on the web , I have been trying to track it but I think I'm at my end . I just want it to sit in my living room and bring back all those miles and miles of memories , ride it down the parkway and feel like a kid again. Would you consider selling it?

Re: 1987 Haro Sport
I agree, that color is wicked. 2 toned frames looks really nice.
