1982 Ricardo MX2

Long Grass find!

I used to race a South Australian made Ricardo way back when..in the early 80's. It was stolen round 84 out the front of an Indoor Cricket centre and I was completely devastated.
The pics are Before & After.. It had been in a long grass paddock for 20 odd years

Its as much a replica of my old race bike as I can remember and done on the cheap, as it was back then. Although when it was stolen it had black tuff II's as I swapped the arayas.

Love it mate.  Love your passion.  My 1st BMX was a Ricardo MX from St AGNES bike shop.  Good build.

Re: 1982 Ricardo MX2

Indi, yes Indi 500 had a bmx bike called Hot Stuff. Painted gold with top end parts.  Exactly the same gussets, welds on gussets and same smooth rear drop outs.  Frame numbers were T2H XXXX. The cheap frames and components for the real early stuff came from Japan, which we now call top shelf components. Hence, good bikes.

What's  your serial number start?
