Beautiful Bro.....try and keep the target weight just a hair over 5lbs for the frame if possible.....that's what the o.g. ones weigh. I suppose it could be a bit heavier but 6lbs is too much.

I have been enjoying this post from the beginning. Not a Hutch guy, but very enjoyable to see this progress... and to pick this frame type for a BMX scratch build is a commitment for sure. Keep those updates coming.

Platform specs:

9" total overall length....5" forward of seat tube centerline, 4" rearward of seat tube centerline. Braces welded at angle with 1/4" of overhang of platform ends (before welding).

*Note- there were many discrepancies with platform placement,  especially the overseas models,  this is info from my USA made '85 frame.

Platform is a must for a proper trick star copy.
