I think all this history is real. I recognised all steps of mechanical construction. And they're not made in a big workplace but in a garage or somewhere like that. The place is very well equipped with tools and machines. smile

Living in France, I'm here for improving my English, learning technical words for my 3rd hobby : BMX. Catching some pop/slang words/sentences is very interesting and instructive for me too.
The first two are bonsais and Betta splendens breeding. Far behind the love for my daughter of course.

Love to do something like that in my garage, it looks really cool.  So the parts where the bolts are on the headtube, are "perforated" so they get cut off later?  Also, the wall thickness looks huge - should be strong and heavy.

No, it has adjustable lock collars to hold it to the jig at the headtube.  It's just bolted to the jig at the bb and headtube shells.

Re: Homemade Trick Star tribute

Such a shame to read this awesome thread from the start and then ,,,,,,,,, nothing , did the bars kill it , when ever someone thinks out of the box with any design you'll always get the lovers and the haters , awesome build with the frame and forks simpley stunning as for the bars ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i think they would be best suited to a more wanky frame design

Re: Homemade Trick Star tribute

Awesome work! This guy could be the next candidate to fill the shoes of "The Frame Doctor"! There is many of us in need of a competent skilled fabricator/ welder to do repairs to our vintage frames and gear. This guy can earn some cash in his free time and the BMX community could reap the benefits of a person capable of skilled repairs and custom stuff. Sounds like a win win situation to me!
