Re: What are you Listening to right now?

This is still one of my favorite recordings ever.
I had no idea it was a cover until the late 1990s lol

Robert Plant approves of 8 year old Yoyoka’s playing ability. Her triplet work is pretty damn impressive!

Re: What are you Listening to right now?

It’s truly amazing what kids are capable of musically nowadays with the power of the internet. I tend to watch more YouTube videos of people doing covers of there favorite songs. It should deserve its own thread to be honest. cool

cool Right on! I love this thread! As the the great Quincy Jones has stated “It’s impossible to for a human to not have some type of music in there day to day life”. Think about that for a min and let that set in. Wherever you are, watching TV there are commercials with music, driving in the car if the radio is on even if it’s a talk show or podcast there is music between breaks on commercials. Grocery store? Yup..there is music playing. Restaurants, Gas stations. Just a couple examples. Music is everywhere even if your not a music person. cool

Re: What are you Listening to right now?

Steven Adler still rocking! Even though this guy hasn’t been in GNR for over 30 years and the many trials and tribulations that life hands out he still loves playing music. Look at that smile! I’d be smiling as well knowing everyday above ground is a good day and still doing what you love. The royalties he gets from Appetite for Destruction is still mind blowing. Guy doesn’t have to work another day if he doesn’t want to. Best selling hard rock debut of all time, 30 million units sold, 147 weeks in the billboard top 200, 4 non consecutive weeks at #1. God blessed this man.

Dude! HUGE Scott Weiland fan here. The day he passed was extremely tough for me on a personal level. 1st: I was rooting for the man to get clean and stay clean as he was just an incredible talent. 2nd: I was dealing with my own chemical dependency issues as they were at there all time worse in my life. It hit me really hard because Scott passed away not far away from where I lived in Minnesota on his tour bus. I cried a lot that morning. Drank almost a liter of Vodka in 3 hours and passed out in front of the fridge wide open, bottle on its side with my cat licking my head trying to wake me up for hours. No my proudest moment. RIP Scott Weiland...truly will be missed.
