Word up, I had no intention of keeping it in the package either but just hadn't found a bike to put it on.  Looks great on there!

Found this as a complete bike at a thrift store and with some help on the "Name it" thread I'm almost sure the frame is a Filo Beddoe.  I've got some questions:  When were the Filo Beddoes made?  Was S&M still making frames for Metal Bikes at that time?  Did they have serial numbers?  This one doesn't have a number.  How many were made and in what colors?  Where can I get some proper Filo Beddoe decals?http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-image … 9a9b8b.jpg

So is that a Metal Filo Beddoe frame?

Heads up folks.

As founder of the Facebook group Metal Bikes Owners Group, I've been given some definitive info on a project that's been in the works for a while.

Would it not make more sense to have 20 in the USA and 13 in Europe?

Some one would argue yes. The whole project is a British brain-child, just like the re-issue of the soft goods, so I think that is the primary reason for the bulk proportion being allocated to the UK along with the largest percentage of the financial investment that's been required also coming from the UK.

The tube diameters are set to be the same along with the stand over height and head tube angle. Apart from the dropouts, which will be smaller and I imagine a smaller wishbone and the mid bottom bracket, it should be remarkable similar.

I hear you on the cost though. £600 over here in the UK. About $770 at today's money. roll

Re: Dual Madness!!! The Official Metal Bikes / Bone Deth Thread Here!!!

Still several weeks away from getting my re-issue Kizz along with the 43 other buyers but what did come through the mail today was my Blu-ray DVD and the accompanying book and holy hell, Chris Rye has out-done himself! I recommend to anyone who's still thinking about getting it to just get it! It's loaded with history (not just Jimmy Levan history) but BMX history, behind the scenes stuff, contemporary rider's opinions, anecdotes and insights. The production quality is big network TV good and I haven't even started on the extras yet!http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/221283/20190408_1242495cabb09986.jpg

Re: Dual Madness!!! The Official Metal Bikes / Bone Deth Thread Here!!!

Chris Rye got word from Dave Harrison a few days ago. All the front ends are tacked up so there's still a lot of work to do but hopes to have them finished and powdered and ready to ship to Props HQ by the end of July.

I for one lost the mojo for my order a while ago and almost pulled out but F**K it. I'm sure the stoke will return when it's finally delivered. I'm over looking out for updates and being in the UK, I'm betting on mid to late August delivery time. Anytime sooner will just be a bonus!

Great thanks for that update. Was checking the pedal driven cycles as well hoping to catch a peek of the frames but nothing. I wonder if others have canceled their orders after waiting so long. I got the very last US kizz and still think I will be excited to own one—even if I dont build it up for a while
