This sucks.....I'm officially done with the lineage spindle. WTF? This is the only spindle that I have ever had trouble with. Just busted a brand new sprocket (my fault).....but still.

I've always wanted to come back to this thread as I've got two Lineage builds I've been slowly working.  I have 48 spline Demolition cranks that were a PITA and didn't want to deal with the Lineage cranks so I brought the frames w/Lineage cranks, sprocket and new BB to a LBS/Haro dealer I know and trust.  Dropped them off last Wednesday.  Needless to say I still don't have them back.  One is installed the other is not.  They had/are having a difficult time with them...sounds as if they stripped one of my spindles in the process and will either be replacing or re-taping.  I'm not happy, but after keeping an eye on this thread am not at all surprised.

Re: Haro Lineage is here!!!!!

It's amazing the amount of trouble the Lineage cranks dish out on the install. I've totaled out 2 spindles and 3 sprockets installing these cranks so I moved on to Animal Akimbos, Odyssey Thunderbolts, Shadow Killer, Éclat Tibia and Subrosa Bitchin cranks.

Re: Haro Lineage is here!!!!!

Wow, that really sucks yikes  I actually never installed any Lineage cranks but did dis assemble one set which didn't seem any worse than any other spline drive crank set I've done.  But the reports seem plentiful that they are really bad to install.  Fortunately I don't see myself ever dealing with them again because there are SO many other great cranks sets out there.  Personally I really like the Fiend cranks with their unique system to secure the left arm, they slide together nice and easy then tighten up two bolts and good to go.

Yeah, I'm very curious to stop in and see what specifically happened and just how bad they're FUBAR.

Re: Haro Lineage is here!!!!!

Resurrecting this thread. I still haven't built my Lineage up yet. I keep going back and forth on whether to build it. One thing I'm stuck on is tires. I wanted the Fit FAF with teal sidewalls but they are only available in wide sizes. I am an old/midschool guy and I wasn't aiming at going over 2.1 tires. Can the Lineage handle wide tires? I have the Lineage fork with 990 mounts. What's the widest tire I could use with that fork and a brake?

I should also mention that I prefer colored tires so that's why it's not easy for me to just pick any ol' 1.95 or 2.1 tire...especially a colored tire that will match the trans teal.

Nice bike, JTinNC. Do you still ride it? Maybe if I ever get mine finished I can come down and ride. I live in VA, and no one around here (that I know of) rides. I'm about 2 hours from Spencer.

The 2.25 is supposed to be bigger than the 2.3 according to Fit's site.

Thanks.  This is the only 20 I ride anymore. I built it last spring so it's got a full year of little nicks and scratches. We just had a group ride in Charlotte,  and will probably have another before fall. Just check in on the NC riders thread for updates.

Bringing thread back to life. Ran across a custom Haro Linage on eBay and I've been wanting an awesome street bike for awhile. Super excited to get this bad boy.

Yep! Odyssey forks and bars, Ti spokes, Ti profile 9t driver, Haro Group 1 cranks, this thing is decked out. I'm looking forward to having a front brake again. This guys going in my work SUV around the country with me on business trips to blow off steam at the end of the day and to be the go to rider when home.
