Re: The Tank Bike thread! Post Your Heavy Weights!!!

No need to be jealous. As I have learned there are plenty of great survivors out there yet to be found. I will say that these tanks are hard to let go of except for the Big Daddy. I was tired of loading and unloading it for shows.  I kept two, but hope to purchase a few when I have more room. Down to two mid, my first bike (87 Predator), four new school with a new frame on the way when S&M finishes the T-1 Barcodes.

I do want to add a FBM one day.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

Those forks weigh 6 pounds. Cranks and fork and seat.

Love the seat tho I need the blue one to complete my collection.

I finished this up a couple weeks ago (it's just like I rode it back in 98) and took it with me to the skatepark. I tried, really tried to ride it but could barely get a 180 and almost died trying to smith that little ledge in the background!

The master plan is forks, cranks, bars and stem. The seat i can deal with, its a primo pentagon. I think there is a blue primo hemeroid in the for sale section or i might have seen it on ebay.

Re: The Tank Bike thread! Post Your Heavy Weights!!!

If my friend DSR would post pics, he would tip the scales with some heavy weights.  It seemed like I would add one tank, he would add two for a few months this year.  If our other friend would weigh his Hercules, I'm sure it would win the heavy weight contest.  It is the only bike I could not flip and hang from the rafters on the first try.  You had to lift and swing twice to flip it, take a deep breath, press it upwards, pray you were able to hook the front wheel in place, and then use both hands to push the rear in place.  The scary part is, Dave is a light weight, but could bunnyhop picnic tables in his teens.  He never rides anymore, but can still do a few tricks that impress me knowing his weight to bike weight ratio.  I think he could bunnyhop a car if he used my ATF.lol

In true rat rod style its rust patina not paint.

Lets get some weights up there with the bikes guys!

And what is a true tank? 30+ or 35+, i think a true tank would be 35+ myself but im just one man.

Re: The Tank Bike thread! Post Your Heavy Weights!!!

I think 35# and up is the limit. Most old school freestylers will weigh between 27-32#.

I've also got this pile of shit laying around the house.Total lead sled compared to my Mod C.

Re: The Tank Bike thread! Post Your Heavy Weights!!!

HamellBMX1980 That’s cool, if you ever decide to sell the frame PM me!

JBFab That finish is so even, I thought it was powder.

As far as what a Tank should weigh? I don’t want to exclude any over built, over size, beefy bikes. Whatever any of you want to include is cool with me. I have no idea what my bikes weigh?

JTinNC  Cruiser Class Tank! I like it!

Keep em coming! cool
