1985 MCS Styler
1985 MCS Styler
SOLD.
I found this bike 10 miles from my home.
It was complete, but left out in the rain to rust. I bought it from the original owner. There was a bit of rust and taking it apart took some careful work, I didn't want to break or strip anything. The chain was one long link and it was solid, but the chrome was in very good shape. I was able to clean it, regrease it and put it back together with all original parts minus the wheels and brakes.
I sold it, but I have another one I am working on. It will look like the one at the display window at Reiniers' bike shop in Europe.

You don't HAVE to build every frame and fork you own... right?

Nice! Good work on the clean up. I still have to get over to Rainer's shop. I just wish that I had the cash once I got there to bribe him.
Cool, a new bike. Wait a minute.......where am I going to hide this one. She's going to catch me...
Wanted: 90 Holmes f/f decals, Odyssey parts in vapor blue

Re: 1985 MCS Styler
I am not a fan of chrome bikes, it's beautiful but I like color. I am doing an MCS Styler after this frameset I saw on one of the bikes at his shop. I have the lime green safety tape, the same stem, and the artwork is ready for printing the decals in those colors.
Originally I was going to do it with this bike, but after cleaning it I didn't feel like painting it, it was too nice. I have another frameset that is in rough shape so I have no second thoughts about painting it.
