1988 Skyway 300TA

Mostly NOS built to factory specs.

Not the most desirable TA but very rare and a must have for the SKYWAY collection. I got most of these parts NOS from Sell_All_His_Stuff when they parted out 2 different 300TAs on ebay and built this to factory complete specs based on a combination of magazine test, 88 catalog and the parted bikes plus I added a few small custom details like the Dirt Skirt, red ano spoke nipples, DK stem stiffener and Haro plate.

Man that thing is perfect.  Excellent job.

Kinda makes me wish I had held on to my cracked frame and had gotten it fixed.

It's true, when most people think of Skyway frames they remember the earlier tear drop tubing Totally Aerodynamic TAs by the time these came out Skyway had been only selling freestyle bikes and was loosing steam in the industry as the mid school generation was emerging. With these they tried to get back into the race game offering their first ever complete race bike, also another first was they didn't come with Skyway mags instead came with Araya rims, although the 280 & 300 still carried the TA name all of the tubing is round which I think many Skyway enthusiasts find odd also they were made overseas so that didn't help with their popularity.
Don't get me wrong they are very nice, I just meant they have more of a limited following as you can see there aren't too many on the museum.

If you desire one hit me up I have this 280TA (pictured in the middle) for sale, it is mostly factory correct except I put era correct Skyway OE mags on it to be a bit different.

Oh brother you have no idea how much I want that bike.  I would cherish it to the end of my days but money is an issue right now.  :(
