Not too sure. I've had this bike for about ten years now and never really knew what I had... I decided to look up some info on it, and it led me here.

Re: S&M Widowmaker Registry

Painted ones would for sure be considered rare. The yellow one above would be but the second painted Widowmaker to known to exist thus far. Ryan Partridge came across a photo of a Black one in Canada. Sadly the story is that it was stolen from the owner.
All other Widowmaker's I've seen have been chrome.

Very cool.

Re: S&M Widowmaker Registry

Quick question guys.... Ive noticed that most the Widows we have pictures of have drilled forks with pitchfork decals. Mine are undrilled, and have Widowmaker decals on them. I have never seen another set of forks with matching Widowmaker decals. Does anybody else have these forks????

Seko..It's possible that the forks you have were earlier than the Pitchforks, there are a few non-drilled versions on some of the 24's on here, but none have your fork decals...

Re: S&M Widowmaker Registry

Seko do you think they could have made more than 100 ?
Of the known Widows there is a 198 sequential difference in series starting with the rock legend series ?
Or do you think B&E just grabbed and stuck whatever they had on, then thrown away the extras that were pre-stamped ?
I would'nt think so because all of the EARLY serials are on non gusseted frames .
It would be cool to know the story on why they would have only made 100 .
Anybody know someone at S&M ?

Re: S&M Widowmaker Registry

The Lock was aware that it was worth decent coin and I had no idea what it would be worth , so I paid what he wanted and he was happy as was I.
It is coming along , I just need a pitbull brake and some black grips and a nickel chain.

Take a look at the progress .

Re: S&M Widowmaker Registry

I think there were a few hundred Widowmakers made. But Chris Moeller would be the only guy who knows for sure. As for how many are still out there??? That is the very reason I started this thread. We now know for a fact, at least 20 exist for sure. I found out the under 100 estimate was referring to the S&M K-9 DEZINE.

I agree. Just simply have never been a fan of that sprocket.
Also, FYI others have tried to use a Pitbull on Widowmakers and have had problems. I don't think anyone has made it work.

a pitbull would work fine on there, especially with an odyssey pozi-stop seatpost clamp to replace the pitbull cable hanger... wink
