Re: Skyway's 50th Anniversary! Sneak peek pics inside!

i like the flat black,i like new production metal flange hubs, will be buying both 20'' and 24''

would have liked to have seen a new 24'' 5 spoke tuff and the 7 spoke as a 26'' for a 50th anniversary,as i assume technology has come on a bit since the early 80's!

3D printer anyone? lol

Why flat black? I know you don't know, but why? It's the same frame with a different head tube. Thats the anniversary frame? Not shitting on ya just asking.... They couldn't think of anything better than this?

Kinda disappointing.......

That's what Ken at Skyway wanted to do.... I had no input on that.
I was given to opportunity to do something different, so we did the black with gold sparkle, which looks amazing in person.
The flat back is a bit more of a modern race look. Not particularly my style, but I know some people dig it......

I hear ya... BUT!!!! 50 years and this is it? The only people the are gonna buy this is us old folks. Doesn't make sense....   I'm the target customer, and I ain't buying. Again not busting your balls, just Skyways thinking.

We all love Skyway for staying true to their roots, but don't offer a NEW frame as an anniversary frame.  Seems silly! lol

I am a big Skyway fan and an even bigger Graphite Tuff Wheels fan.  My two cents is that I just have to have a set of those Graphites!  Awesome!  As far as the frame is concerned, I agree with some others.  We older folks are the target audience.  I don't want a new frame.  I want a retro 50th anniversary frame and forks with the black with gold flake paint.  You make one of those, I will own one.  I don't want a new style frame....it's not the black color, it's the frame style.  Just my thoughts and interests as your target population.  However, congrats on the 50th anniversary!  Great company with a great reputation!  Back in 84' I badly damaged a 1st generation graphite, sent it back and Skyway sent me back a brand new 2nd generation.  Great customer service and stands behind their products!  Thanks for that.

I agree black a black TA does nothing for me, especially with gold accents tongue
I think a special 50th limited run of some candy red, pearl white & candy blue F&F sets all with chrome decals would be better suited and stay true to the classic skyway logo color scheme.

+1
Congrats on 50 yrs. though.
Skyway has been true to the BMX family for years and we appreciate that. But really, what a lame decision for a 20" new school in flat black. I am thinking senility is setting in on the company brass.hmm

Someone in R&D should consult with this man on the color schemes.

Re: Skyway's 50th Anniversary! Sneak peek pics inside!

cool
50 years is a hell of an accomplishment and the mags are cool.. The frame not so much.. line it up to the other 100+ frame sets out there and it will vary only at a couple of key points...
I would have rather seen a street scene or styler retro myself..  To each his own though..

If I owe you feedback just let me know. I'm nuts, crazy, scatter brained and just plain forgetful sometimes.

No way, this stuff is great. Oakley should take a clue from skyway. these products enable many more builds. Keep it coming skyway!
