Skyway's 50th Anniversary! Sneak peek pics inside!

2013 marks Skyway's 50th year in business! All under the same ownership, too! Skyway's president, Ken Coster, celebrated his 40th Anniversary of employment at Skyway earlier this summer. Man... That's a long time! It also makes Ken the longest sitting President of ANY company in the history of BMX!
Skyway started out as a machine shop in 1963, and got into BMX in the mid 70's as the scene started.
This has been a big year for Skyway, and we are now seeing some more of their 50th Anniversary BMX products.
Here is a sneak peek of the new 50th Anniversay matte black T/A frame set, and a look at the Anniversary Graphites! The flanges on these wheels were made by hand by Ken and crew over at Skyway, and feature the Skyway logo and their 50th Anniversary logo etched on the flanges.  The frame set will have matching gold logo art as well.  Both the wheels, and frame sets will come in full-color collector boxes!
More details coming soon...!

Sweet, huh!
We'll have this at PlanetBMX as soon as it's done. At this time, I do not have pricing, or expected dates of arrival.

Re: Skyway's 50th Anniversary! Sneak peek pics inside!

Nice colour... but imo the GOLD SPARKLE BLACK together with the gold decals just like the LIMITED EDITION SKYWAY 24" T/A XL would have make it even better .

Re: Skyway's 50th Anniversary! Sneak peek pics inside!

Ed,

I'm sure the Tuffs are USA made, but what about the Frame/Forks?

I second the Black Skyway Padset, would love it for my 2008 Anniversary Frame to go along with my White set.

I agree black a black TA does nothing for me, especially with gold accents tongue
I think a special 50th limited run of some candy red, pearl white & candy blue F&F sets all with chrome decals would be better suited and stay true to the classic skyway logo color scheme.

Looks great, Sure i love the wild colors from the 80s as much as anyone else. I can certainly see that frame with gold accents and those wheels with gold hubs looking pretty darn cool on an anniversary edition.

I know the 2013 white and chrome TA's were made oversees but did not see any mention of it either way for this black anniversary frameset.

Thanks for the information.
