I think these lamps turned out pretty rad!

Sad to sacrifice 2 nice scooters, but I think I executed it pretty well!

Re: Let's start a SCOOTER thread!

I rode an 80's scooter almost as much as I rode my Skyway BITD. I decided to start trying to find and buy some over here and just got my first one for only $10. It came in pretty good condition. I do not know if VCG is the brand or not? It seems to have come from Germany and has an original sticker that says "Made in Taiwan".
I figure I will get a couple of these for my wife and I to ride scooters with the kids; this one will be hers. A couple pics from the seller and couple pics today after I took off the guards.

Re: Let's start a SCOOTER thread!

After getting the scooter, we looked online at different pink scooters; and my wife said she liked the looks of this more modern pink Mongoose scooter. I had some similar handlebars and extra basic black levers laying around. She had never ridden one of these scooters until tonight, and she really liked it. I think the kids liked riding on the front edge of the deck with mom even more. I still need to tweak the brakes and scrub the old brake marks off the mags, but overall I'm very happy for $10, some cleaning, and a few extra parts. smile
