1983 Schwinn Predator
1983 Schwinn Predator
No longer 100% Complete and Original.
I had one of these stolen growing up and wanted it back. Found one on eBay locally and it was in excellent shape and complete. Only thing missing it seems is the rear reflector. What a fun find. Had a question about the grips. There is not much left of them, could be original or aftermarket. Don't know.
I have since add NOS Chang Shin Comp III's; NOS Maxy Cross cranks and MKS Grafites.

Re: 1983 Schwinn Predator
OK after discussions with those who used to have this bike BITD. We have come to the conclusion that the original grips were a black foam on top of what you see above.

Yes, you are correct. The original grips on your bike were covered with foam. They were a knock-off of the "Grab-On" grips.
Looking for: ODI Mushroom grips (red), Lee Chi rear brake & lever (red), California Lite stem pad (black)
