1999 Powerlite P51 Mustang XL

"Blue Bullet" -- One of the Last Ones

SOLD
The P-51 went from chromoly (early 90s) to Aluminum (mid- to late-90s) back to chromoly (1999, 2000).  This Mustang with Fastback seatstays, I think, represents the best design of the three, and one of the last examples of a USA-made frame from one of the old brands.  Check out that race-ready bottom bracket height!  For my son.  He deserves cool, high-quality stuff.  Oh yeah -- building a bike named for the WWII fighter plane that inspired the Ford Mustang was a must!

1999 Powerlite P-51 f/f (frame has integrated spc)
Powerlite Powerbend bars, expert size
Powerlite P-Nut stem
Powerlite (Profile) 180mm chromoly cranks w/ Profile spindle and bb
Powerlite embroidered seat
Powerlite Retro Tread tires, both 20x2.125
Araya Super 7x rims
Formula sealed hubs, 36h
DK pedals
Tektro v-brakes w/ Tektro lever
Star grips
GT Micro-adjust seatpost, 27mm
GT 43T chain ring w/ GT spider
Redline chain tensioners
KMC/IZUMI chain (Frankenstein)

Re: 1999 Powerlite P51 Mustang XL

Thanks, and I totally agree.  The early chrome, white, blue, candy apple red, yellow, etc. -- all have looked great on the models they were featured on.

Re: 1999 Powerlite P51 Mustang XL

lol Thanks, man.  If I were still a kid, I'm sure I would have a blast riding her, but I leave that up to my son.
