1995 ELF 24

the LOOKER

Heres what happens when you need money for Vegas: you lose your bike to me!
I picked up this beauty locally from a bro who was selling off his gear--"the bikes too small, need money for my trip" etc. I actually advised him not to sell it. But he couldn't take the advice of ol' chippy.....
It didn't take much to get this rig to sing: swapped the black stuff for blue: tires, grips chain and seat; update the brakeset. Added a set of big beefy pedals suited to the crankset.....Perfection! This bike attracts positive attention from whoever passes by-rider or not. Coolest part: wife loves it to death and when I told her "its all yours" I could tell I got a lifetime pass for all the bike whoring I care to participate in.
(update: guess who hit me up wondering if I still had the bike, and do I want to sell?)
Sorry Bro, she's in a good place, and she's here for good!

Did well in vegas? I hope you used protection!!!
If you made some $$$ in vegas and off me you can afford to buy a new one off the shelf!
I'm glad you like the changes, come on down to take a spin!

One of the nicest 24s I've seen on the museum. Sweet!! Maybe back to a chrome/nickel chain though? Crankset and sprocket are perfect...

I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence...

Ohhh no, making money out west is never an excuse to pay full price for anything...especially when Jay is 30 mins away w/killer prices.  I was doing the right thing, following up to ensure you weren't sick of it :)

Re: 1995 ELF 24

OKAY
This has been killing me so i have to post it up cause it feels like bad karma on my bike...
:| and i cannot have that :|
Bobr338 was the bro who sold me a good portion of this bike in parts....
I love it and it was a good deal, thanks, Bob!
The bio i wrote about it is true and in good fun. Just a story about what one guy will give up for a trip to vegas!
Bobr got some dough and i got a cool bike to build up.
I guess we're both lucky i had some cash in my pockets....
....cause that usually aint the case!
Looks like he took it the wrong way,or prolly I did, and yep there it is outta control in the comments above.
Chippy be a jovial fellow, but will cross the line every time. Big fault of mine, and as i get older, i get meaner.
So we had to take the gloves off for a bit and have it out online if that makes any sense.
All good now, we understand each other and IMHO Bob is a great kid and I hope we can ride together someday.
.....when he gets a new bike.
