1978 Redline Proline

"Old Yella"

Finally scored a early Proline thanks to member "RobV" who sold me his 1978 frame and fork set.  When I purchased it I had every intention of stripping the paint and having it powdered white, but when it arrived I feel in love with the yellow paint that he had perfectly matched to the yellow paint Redline used on their MX-II models during those years.  I built it up with Proline parts that were released in late 1978 and 1979 (Brute stem, pinchless Flight cranks, Proline handlebars and seat post).  Parts list and member thanks are list below.  Photobucket link:  http://s1186.photobucket.com/user/doldn … %20Proline
Frame: 1978 Redline Proline w/reissued decals,  purchased from member RobV.
Fork:  1978 Redline Proline w/reissued decals, purchased from member RobV.
Headset:  Tange w/ Tange Headset Lock and SST Dirt Skirt, purchased from member j0eb0xer8.
Stem: Redline Brute (original finish and red paint insert).
Handlebars:  Redline Proline , purchased from member Thrusterdreamer, rechromed by "Atlas Plating", original Redline Cr-Mo Vbar decal purchased from Samuelip.
Grips: Oury.
Seat:  Viscount "MX", (NOS) purchased from member Nachoman3.
Seat post:  Redline Proline fluted w/reissued decal, purchased from member se6666.
Seat post clamp: Tange w/repro decal.
Cranks: Redline Flight 185mm (pinchless) w/reissued decals, purchased from member Brian H.
Chainwheel: Redline Flight (43T).
Bottom Bracket: Tange, purchased on Ebay.
Pedals: MKS BM-7, purchased on Ebay.
Chain: Izumi, purchased on Ebay.
Wheelset: Ukai 20x1.75 w/Bullseye hubs, purchased from member ridingfree.
Freewheel: Shimano 333 (16T).
Tires: Tioga Comp III (reissue) front-20x2.125, rear 20x1.75,  w/ IRC tubes, purchased on Ebay.
Brakes: Dia Compe 890 w/ pre-bent brake lever and odyssey cable.
Brake Pads:  Scott Mathauser finned.
Pad Set: Reproduction Proline, purchased from "Hicks Sign Co."

Always looking for Cook Bros. stuff, vintage SE stuff,  MCS 6 bolt Super stems,  and Race Inc. Leading Edge/Cycle Pro/BMX innovations 20" forks.  All NOS or in very nice condition.
