^ I'm on the lookout for some decals for my 96-97 group 1 RSi, as well. As far as I know, they just don't exist. You can get 86-88 group 1 repros on eBay, but as for the rest, good luck...

Droooooool.
OK. For a second, I thought I'd be forced into doing a retro-inspired Group 1. But this gives me hope that I might be able to do a period correct build! Blackdiamonds... tell me you have more, or at least a way to duplicate!

we generally dont encourage master retros here, just because theyre done to death and i personally like to restore the midschool haros to their glory, but were gonna allow yours... ... even i have to admit, that is cool as shizzzz. you did a very nice job on what i have seen in the past come out looking like a glow in the dark nightmare.
BTW... i have my 98 ultra project on the way guys, hopefully ill be posting some pics of it soon. i think i might go ahead and finish it up and put my super blammo kind of on the sideburner while im working on getting decals made for it and saving up to get it rechromed.

Re: Mid-School HARO THREAD - for those of us that love the midschool haro
Here are some of mine.
The first 2000 Backtrail X3. It shares the same frame as the Backtrail frame. It's pretty much all OG other than the cranks. The guy I bought it from swapped out the stock chrome HFC cranks for his chrome X1. he replaced them with black Fusions. No complaints from me. The second is a 2001 Master I just picked up. I haven't had time to clean it. The last is my "Miami Vice" 99 Mirra Pro. That was my first mid school Haro. I guess you could say its the one that corrupted me.
These IMO are some of the mid school Haro holy grails. The red one is a American made Mirra Pro with CNC forks. The black one is an American made Backtrail Pro with fluted Megaforks. The BT still needs cleaned up. I just stripped it down and put it into storage. I almost have everything to finish the Mirra Pro. I just need a aluminum Fusion seat post and some Multisurface white walls. And of course the stickers and head tube badges for both. But I think that's a lost cause!!!

Re: Mid-School HARO THREAD - for those of us that love the midschool haro
man, that 95 master is just plain mean looking. I have a few models left on my list of must haves for my midschool haro collection, and the mid 90's master is right on there. I wish I could have snagged the green 93 off egay that just sold this week but to many irons in the fire right now. but man... I really like that 95 master..

so is the backtrail pro an american made frame as well ? if so, how do you tell them apart from the rest of them.. or is it all backtrail pros ?

you painted that on didnt you ? i remember that bike from the paperboy build off thread. its pretty neat either way. lots of "character". for a finishing touch you should add a big ugly weld bead across the where the top and down tubes meet the head tube, make it look like a gnarly home done weld repair job from back in the day. really finish it off....

Shredder project, really want to refinish it the same color, but don't want to peel the decals off because they look so cool. If anyone has a line on a set or someone who does, let me know please. Or if I can get them peeled intact and scanned, someone that can make really good copies. I've got 98 percent of the O.G. parts for it, just in rough/uncared for condition.

I'd just clean the Shredder as good as you can and rock it like that. I would NOT re-do it IMO.

I thought about going that route, but there is quite a bit of surface rust from sitting in a leaf pile for a couple of years.
