Re: 2008 GT Power Series Ultra Box 2

i had a chance to see one of these up close. theres a nasty tight gap in the rear stays which would screw us fat tire ridin woods riders up here in Oregon & the profile of the seat tube more or less means youd be nuts to put a full length "sittin post" in it.
aside form those two cons its a fabulous frame. & yeah... i said fabulous in a sentence.

P.S. thank you for using the matching seat!!! I've seen one at my lbs and some others on here and they are missing the right color i-beam seat.

The joy of getting older means I can buy wot ever I like and not ride them. I'll race it one day.

Hmm, looks like there is a lot of mixed reactions towards this bike.  smile  Who cares if you don't race it.  Still cool to bomb around on.  Have fun with it dude.  smile

ohhhhhhh ok, thanks for letting me know.. anyway i was looking at your UB2 ultrabox again and i have to say its just good to see that someone actually owns one, i wouldnt second guess gt's engineering and although the design might be behind and ahead of its time all at the same time ther is no doubt that it would be one responsive and fast frame/bike on the track.. bikes like these are engineered with the track in mind 100%.. i bet it would be nasty, and like the haro monocoque and specilized fatboy, (and hopefully NOT like the mountin cycle thing) the UB2 will be a part of bmx history, more than likely a famous part versus an infamous part.

Re: 2008 GT Power Series Ultra Box 2

Just saw this frame at my local shop while purchasing my new GT this weekend. Absolutely stunning in person! Nicely done putting it together with the items you have.

Kickin' UB2!  Love the way it looks built up, especially with a scythe on it!  I snagged a Prototype a while back but have yet to build it up...  Great build though!

Re: 2008 GT Power Series Ultra Box 2

I have never seen a GT like this. This bike is art. I'd hang this thing up. Period. Either that or it would be my Sunday Rider. cool
