Custom Cook Bros. Cruiser

Here is the begining of my custom Cook Bros. 20" turned into a 24" Cruiser with 22" top tube. The frame is a 1978 with non threaded Euro bottom bracket.
Before-20"

After-24"

It will be powdercoated by next week and I will post some pics. Not 100% sure what color yet.

Cool. BB height looks ok too. Some of those 20" converted to 24" always have a freakishly high BB shell. Yours looks about right.

Re: Custom Cook Bros. Cruiser

I was wondering if someone was going to ask that question. Not a damn thing wrong with it. This will be a Cook Bros with Cook Bros welds, geometry, history, etc... I don't want a Joe Schmo built bike. I guess since its my money I can do what I want with it. I guess its just like you spending hard earned money on Freestyle bikes. I don't understand that either. lol

What a waste.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My signature, without me, is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.

Would love to acquire a Sunn B-Mix 26.

Re: Custom Cook Bros. Cruiser

While I'm not a fan of tearing down good survivors, aside from a few super rare birds, I've pretty much come to realize that 99% of the time, does it really matter? There are plenty of the more common bikes out there and I don't really care that much if one gets lost. Some battles are worth getting fired up over. This one isn't in that category.

There are plenty of the crush proof brake bridge, pre-tensioner CBR's out there, so, to lose one to a customization, really, I don't think it's a big deal.

Enjoy your project!

UMMMMM......It's HIS bike and HE can do whatever the hell HE wants to do with it. Feel free to hate on my custom 24" 1985 Haro Master Freestyler that is in "My Bikes" as well......mad

Cool project! I can't wait to see how it turns out. cool

Re: Custom Cook Bros. Cruiser

I've looked at Suzu's other  bikes and they're top-notch, and I love custom personalization on frames - So I can't wait to see this completed.

Re: Custom Cook Bros. Cruiser

It's yours and you can do whatever you want with it. Many people here will think it is not cool at all. Don't be surprised if you see them comment. It's not the end of the world that a bike is lost. Just very uncool, unimpressive, lame, whatever you wanna say.

you wanted a bike with CBR welds so you cut it up and had some schmohawk weld in pieces?
