Re: AT LAST! 2013 SBC Itson Pro Model is DONE! Hey you Trick Star lovers!

I tell you bro, if you felt the rollercams with the stock springs they are CRAP......no offense to anyone using them as is but please do yourselves a favor and do the spring mod, it is a WORLD of difference!

I really love the look of the rollercams and was not going to give up on them......I was determined to find the answer.

It came to me at 6am one time when I was working on the bike.....seems all creative ideas come when there is lack of sleep.

lol

In fact I am going to do a seperate thread on this mod alone in hopes that all the rollercam users will try it.

smile

Ha....was just going to start asking you a couple questions on the rollercam....now that the stock springs are gone,it looks like there is more room between the rear of the brake and the fork,if different bolt set-up went on the brake shoes, could the 990 mounts be welded shorter to the fork so it would be more compact?I'm about to do a rollercam (non hutch fork)and want it as compact as possible.

You probably could.......in fact I was trying to find some sleeves to replace the pieces that hold the springs......I was trying to find a chrome spacer and sleeve to replace those parts but found nothing that size at the hardware store.

If you are going to attempt this make sure you bring at least one Suntour brake arm with spring collar pieces with you to the hardware store.

Perhaps Matt Jones could machine us those parts......

cool

Holy crap! Very nice build. I had never heard of the rollercam. When I first looked at it, all I could say to myself is "where the hell is the cable?" lol.
I had no idea companies would make stuff like this for us. Was this a one time thing for Rick or are they interested in doing other stuff like this?
I love the modified London mod with not using gryo Y cables also. I was always curious how to take the top cable out of the equation.

quote from spyker I have heard pretty much every excuse possible for why people ride brakeless and not one of those excuses made any logical sense.
The only logical excuse I can think of for the brakeless crowd would be " natural selection "....now that makes sense.

Matt....where you at!!!!lol With the brake bridge in front...do the sleeves need to be that long,or can they be pushed up into the bridge itsef....or yea...how about one long sleeve that connects the brake and the bridge?

Wonderful!  It brings a tear to my eye.  I really love the decals and how they play off of the blue.  It gives it a clean airy look.  Beautiful work by everyone involved.

I miss the "Ricksta".

Ah hell, I can't remember.
