4 years to find an original purple rein Hutch seat post. It was the missing link to the bike... had chrome one on it for the longest time.

It does balance out the handle bar well.  Looks nice.

Re: The longest you've searched for ONE part

Going on 2 years for a set of Kink Fiend forks

Having glasses has its advantages... you can walk into a party full of girls who are 6's and 7's, take your glasses off and they instantly become 8's and 9's

looking for: King Bike Co Pegs, King Bike Co ANYTHING, KINK FIEND forks & Frame decals

I don’t need Mrs. Misfit to approve this message.

Re: The longest you've searched for ONE part

I have been looking for a 1979-81 National Panasonic Hot Rod frameset in pearl white with chrome forks for at least since 1994. Have had most of the parts for it for ages. I know they are out there somewhere.

Re: The longest you've searched for ONE part

I havent really been searching, but have been hoping to see someone post up a build like my FIRST bmx bike.  My Grandpa owned a Western Auto store, so guess where my bikes came from until I was able to buy my own stuff...the oh so top of the line Western Flyer line of premium cyclery!  lol

Though I appreciated every bike I got because I loved riding for its own sake, as I do today.  So my first BMX ride was a Sears/Western Auto store bike.  But I camt remember the name, maybe AMF?  It was mostly black with orange and ??? highlights.  The crazy thing is that it had "honeycomb" mag wheels.  They looked a lot like Lester mags amd made of aluminum alloy...AND NO ONE LIKED THEM AT ALL.  In fact much fun was had at my expense due to those wheels.  But I liked them.  So it didnt matter.  Ive never been one to follow trends or main stream products.   But I have yet to see auch a specimen pop up.  Though I haven't searched either.  Mainly because I dont know WHAT make and model to use.  If anyone knows that info, please let me know.  Until then, I will passively wait and see!!!

Peace

HUTCH please, neat or on the rocks;  black'n'chrome or chrome'n'black, pure and unadulterated...like savoring a 20 year old single malt Scotch.  If I wanted a candy color flavor, I'd have ordered a glass of Haro.

Re: The longest you've searched for ONE part

Not BMX, but I searched for 15 years on a daily basis for a black dip Vision Jinx Mini.
My first "real" skateboard on the left

I found three in two months.  Sold one to a friend in Canada, kept these two, and still looking as none of them is a perfect match to my first or NOS

After twenty years of searching, I found the matching shirt that I could afford, just too small to wear.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.
