Re: Score!! Rare Ultramax Cranks
Any and all info stories shared are welcome Scott - keep'em coming brother
Here's an insert from the cranks shoutout in Bmx Plus 12/82
I gotta say I'm not familiar with those suginos tubular - but I always said my interest window ends in 84.
But also that design was sorta passé by then - as so many other companies had come in with they're own inferior copies and killed the buzz - I remember seeing so many sr turbox set with they're pins ripped off an cracked or twisted procraft sets - the tiubular thing was over ... 3pc lead the market by 85

Re: Score!! Rare Ultramax Cranks
Don't get me wrong I still rode a bit into the f/s era, but I didn't follow as close since my interest in the sport was sorta fading - and my interest level grew in the sk8ing realm

Re: Score!! Rare Ultramax Cranks
Oh and Scott - I've owned mine for a short time (purchased on this site a yr or so ago) - I had always been in the market, but always came up short with oddball sizes I couldn't use in any of my applications...
Any who, ended up with a clean set of 175 2nd gen with the attached solid pin (like yours I believe) - serial 638 - to be seen shortly on my newest edition, if I can manage to find a straight post

Bump for the loveliness
The battery is discharging, the oil temperature is very high, the oil pressure is very low, water temperature is off the chart and I am running out of petrol...but the clock is correct.

Same question I had.
OP may have just deleted his account with Photobucket.

Re: Score!! Rare Ultramax Cranks
I absolutely love the story of Ultramax and Don Parscale.
I also love that over the years a thread will start about his stuff and go off the rails with mis-information, then Don himself swoops in, makes all necessary corrections and moves on to never be heard from again.
Long live Ultramax!

In order of rarity. I love OPC's, I don't get why some hate em.

There's big 18 wheeler trailer. Wonder what's in it? And the remnants of a BMX track at the address.
