2010 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

Gold/Brown retro looptail model.  Frame is numbered 301.

I received this bike as a Christmas present from my wife. I had been looking at it at a LBS for quite awhile, waffling over whether or not to buy it. Finally, I made up my mind and I told my wife I was going to buy it the next day after work.  The next day came, I went to the shop... and the bike was gone. Insert SAD FACE here.
What I found out 4 months later, is that my wife had her father go pick it up and stash it in his basement until Christmas.  Initiate HAPPY FACE!
It was "pre-owned" and has a few minor issues. The stem pad is AWOL. There are a few scratches on the rims, the sides of the pedals, the forks, the seat, under the bottom bracket and chainstays. It also looks like the OG spider and chainwheel have been replaced.  Whoever owned it previously didn't exactly give it the loving care I feel it deserved as a "limited edition" bike... but on the other hand, now that's it's no longer perfect, I don't feel bad riding it!
Otherwise, this thing is sweet. The paint job is pretty stunning in direct sunlight. It rides and handles light, fast and nimble. Great brakes.
I'm not 100% sure about the exact parts breakdown, but I think it's all OG except for the spider and chainwheel.

Re: 2010 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

Awesome bike man, I have one as well. The only other things I see that aren't original are the grips, and possibly the brakes. I can't tell from the pics but it looks like the lever is black. The lever and caliper are supposed to be brown. Still cool as hell though!!

The kids all laughed when I showed up at the track on an old Free Spirit. At the end of the day... None of em were laughing.

Re: 2010 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

I know the retro SEs don't get the same love as the originals but man, that's a sweet-looking bike! cool wife too!
