2001 Surly 1X1

Surly1X1 BMXed out.

I'm not into the feel of mt bikes but needed a bad weather bike, so I built in a BMX feel as much as I could. Rides way better now. Surly frame and fork 1X1 model. Redline flite 185s(The only length that really matters) no wrap with a small crack welded shut. Redline euro bb No name pedals Sugino spider. Richey 38 chainring Dyno 1" laidback seat post shimmed to 27.2 frame Se big ripper takeoff bars. Free agent stem(cool because it came with alloy bolts) Alex rims 32 hole w eyelets. No label loose ball disc hubs. Cassette conversion 16t origin8. Bontrager semi slicks 26x1.95 Shimano deore LX disc brakes. Abbey fenders from about 1962.

Re: 2001 Surly 1X1

Was it hard to get the 38t chainring to fit?

Always on the lookout for Cycle Craft, Zeronine, CW, and Revcore frames and parts.
