Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

speed freak, I have a question,is this a repainted bike?If it is it's totally amazing!I have this same bike, minus the cranks, which i gave to a friend, but the seat and bars could need some repainting, cause they were from another bike of the same color. Is there in the United States a bike refurbishing industry,or is there just a slew of mint 20 year old bikes? The old parts I have in good condition, either I bought them new back in the days, and stashed them in a time vacuum,or got them at least in the mid 90's and kept them,I did'nt ever in my wildest dreams think that someday, old parts would have websites! It's pretty cool that the old school coexists with the shortterm parts of nowadays, which have the same shelflife as software.

Powerbites are the name of the crank made by Primo that are almost identical to the old school GT power series 3 pc cranks

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Awesome bike Speed!  I had that exact bike BITD.  I still remember rolling it off the showroom floor.  I intended to build up one just like it, but my 6 year old daugther swayed me to do dayglo pink instead.  Anyway, sweet bike!

They weren't afraid to use color back in the 80's.  It looks amazing.  I miss my old white GT now.

Back into Freestyle after a decade! (pun intended!)
