Just joined...help me identify my GT Aggressor...1989-1991-PIC
Hello all,
I was pleased to find this site and look forward to being a member.
I'll start with a little background...I've been away from bikes in general since my early teenage years. Now in my mid-30's with a young family, we recently started to look at bikes for my 3.5 year old daughter. The last few days have been spent going to different bike shops and learning about different options for her for a Christmas present. The process not only caused me to remeber my days of riding, but also re-sparked an interest in BMX.
In December of 1989, my parents bought me a GT Aggressor for Christmas. I enjoyed a couple of years with the bike but then other interests took over. It has been hanging on the wall of my parents garage for the last 20 years. I haven't seen the bike yet, but found a picture online that appears to be an exact match (picture below from the 1990 GT catalog-the chrome model on the right). I assume that the model year is a 1990 since it was purchased in December '89. It is all original with no modifications.
Would anyone be willing to tell me more about the bike?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for the messages. I hope to get my bike out of my parents garage sometime in the next few days. I'll post some actual pictures when I do.

We did wind up buying our daughter a bike. After looking initially at Toys R Us (where we were horrified), we went to a number of different bike shops. She is just on the cusp of needing a 16 inch...and that size will allow plenty of room to grow into it. We looked at GT, Haro, Redline, Torker, Electra, and Specialized. We loved the 'beach cruisers' but they seemed to be harder for her to drive around. We wound up purchasing a BMX style Specilized Hotrock. It is a purple frame with white accents. She'll love it!!

Welcome to the museum Sick GT! I love Aggressors and wish I had money to buy one! Didn't know GT made 16s still, sadly Torker isn't even close to where it was in the 80s
Good choice though, glad you steered clear of Toys R Us!

Good to be a part of the group. I'm looking forward to posting 'actual' pictures of the GT Aggressor in the next few days.
What is a complete original going for these days?
Anyone know the differences between the 1989, 1990, and the 1991 Aggressors?

Welcome to the site!
As far as what the aggressor is worth, it all depends on condition and if one specific member is looking for that specific bike, at that specific moment. I would probably guess somewhere in the $250-350 range...
One thing I can tell you is that the bash guards appear to be getting a lot more attention lately. I myself am looking for one and it seems like the ones in the museum are getting more and more posts.
Please post pics, I would love to see it.
