1982 Bandito Racing Standard Mini
1982 Bandito Racing Standard Mini
A BASTARD CHILD
I was sold this as an expert. According to all the research that I have done there was no expert only a mini, standard, pro, and cruiser. Here is where the confusion sets in. Only the mini's had threaded bottem brackets which mine does, but they didn't have the duel drop outs front and rear, which mine does.? Also it has a standard serial number. When I got it, it was set up as a mini so I kept it that way. Its got Sueze sealed hubs on Araya rims a uni mini seat and what I can only assume are Bandito cruiser bars because I can't find any information that they made a mini bar. If any of you out there have any information for me please let me know. Thanx for lookin'. MaHalo, Mike

Nice bike Man! I'm in the process of restoring my childhood bike which is a PK RIPPER and it has the same bars on it as the ones that you have. I got these bars from an old friend of mine back when we were kids and he always called them Bandito Bars. Anyways I'm glad to see that he wasn't bullshiiting me when he said that they were Bandito Bars cause I had never heard of them.

Re: 1982 Bandito Racing Standard Mini
Here's the deal. Bandito made 2 different bikes. The first 1 was made like a twin of a cw except the bottom tube was the same size as the top tube (or almost the same). There was a mini, a standard and a pro and 24". The were only single dropouts. Then they made "The Double Barrel Dropout" which came in Mini/standard(which is like a junior in todays frames) Standard(which is like an expert) pro and 24. I raced for bandito for 2 years and then raced for champion. I am in the add on the fence. I am the first one on the left sitting with my hands up (next to matt haden). I have a couple of pics from that era here---> wwwmyspace.com/muchobmx
