1979 Gary Littlejohn Fireroad 26
1979 Gary Littlejohn Fireroad 26
SOLD
Built it with a mix of old used parts and some NOS stuff. Since I ride my cruisers so much I like things to run smooth so the hubs, bottom bracket and headset are all NOS packed with fresh grease.
All finish is original except the frame. Decals are the real deal I got from Gary Littlejohn himself.
Parts:
* 1979 mild steel Littlejohn Fireroad cruiser
* Tange fork
* Vintage Flanders flat track MX bars w/American Pro grips
* Tange MX-2 headset
* Antique Persons saddle with "Lucky 7" seatpost
* Schwinn "AS" seat clamp
* Ashtabula 7 1/2" crank (190mm)
* Three Arrows sprocket
* Tange 28tpi bottom bracket
* KKT rat trap pedals
* Steel Araya 17(2) rims
* Shimano MX hubs with .105(12 gauge) spokes
* Cheng Shin cruiser knobbies

Thanks man!
Unfortunately I didn't meet Gary, but I received an autographed catalog and sticker set through the mail.

Thanks Matt! Yeah this is actually my old lady's favorite of all my cruiser builds. She even made a canvas print of that gravel road slide photo which hangs on the wall still.
I had a lot of fun building and riding this bike...but looking back...holy crap it was a heavy tank.

Re: 1979 Gary Littlejohn Fireroad 26
This might be the sexiest bike I've ever seen. I just procured an '82 Webco/Emory from a member here that's never been built. It's going straight to powder coat (gloss black). I've got the same cranks you've got here and similar pedals. I'm using weinmann rims with a smilar profile to these, a two-speed kickback coaster brake hub, a double clamp stem, Hunt Wilde grips, sprung Brooks saddle and some wide cruiser handle bars that are a cheaper version of yours. Your bike is 100% the inspiration.
