2000 Firemans Texas Cruzer 26

Low serial number red Firemans 26" looptail BMX cruiser

Frame #41 of the current looptail design. I absolutely love this bike. Very cool classic geometry and bulletproof construction. 100% made in USA 4130 chromoly frame. It is the most solid and smooth ride I've ever had. Its great cruising around town or tearing up the local trails. Profile 180's w/ hop-up kit and Profile 36 tooth sprocket, DK cruiser bars, Avid brakes, Brooks b-17 saddle, Uni Kalloy seatpost, Profile Slim Jim clamp, Sun L7 rims with Suze sealed hubs, Panaracer Fire Pro Tires.
Firemans cruzers are available as frame and fork, or full builds in 24", 26" and now 29". All these bikes kick ass! Check out the Firemans website: http://www.firemansbikes.com/

I love your bike...love the color, love the tires, and love those bars! The Firemans Texas Cruzers really look cool.

It just "looks" fun to ride and very fast!

Really good job

I have one too that is going through a remodel, then it will be in the museum. Honestly one of the nicest riding bikes I've ever ridden.

Would love to acquire a Sunn B-Mix 26.

Re: 2000 Firemans Texas Cruzer 26

Thanks for the compliments guys. If you're in the market for a 26" you should check into getting one of these. Highly recommended. They're huge in Austin and spreading nationwide recently. Greg from Firemansbikes.com is a good friend and a really cool guy. He pretty much builds them to order or you can get just a F/F and build it yourself.

Wheelieman, bring that red Cooks Bros. on the next ride and we'll trade for a few miles :)

Various places around Austin. One of our casual rides starts in north Austin at the old Firemans shop, goes thru downtown, eastside and back up north. Usually stop for lunch and a beer or two along the way. Walnut Creek in North Austin is one of my favorite trail rides. The annual Moonlight Cruise and the Real Ale ride out in Blanco are two of my favorite big event group rides. PM me if you wanna join us or for more info on any of those rides.

Re: 2000 Firemans Texas Cruzer 26

I like that sweet ride... The tires are my favorite for mountain biking until they started this whole tubeless idea. Where can I pickup or test ride one of these bad boys? I heard that those guys over at Fireman's bikes are all a bunch of heavy metal dudes that build a great ride in record time. I think that everyone needs to get on a Texas Cruzer before our oil supplies run out and the price of a frame sky-rockets.

Re: 2000 Firemans Texas Cruzer 26

That's a sano bike, my friend. I had DK bars on my Firemans for a while. I like seeing another great looking low Serial Number Firemans out there.

See you on one of the rides.
