Is this frame the Reynolds 531 version? I used to have one back in the early-mid 80's. A local shop was an SE dealer and had a really good expert rider that aiming to go pro and was co sponsored but got hurt right at the start of the season and was done for the year, so the frame went up for sale. Unfortunately, it got stolen-there were only a very small number of Quadangle's around at that time and most of the riders in all the surrounding areas knew each other and were on the lookout but it never turned up. If it's one in the same, I'll be even more bummed knowing that it was one of ten. Ugh!

No. This is 4130 chromoly.

I never owned it. A local friend of mine found it and bought it. I stripped the black spray paint from it and sent it to Chip for powder and then when I got it back I decal'd it with NOS decals that Jeff Utterback sent me and put it in my bike room to enjoy. When Brian needed to sell it, it was bad timing for me so I had to let it go. It went to another collector who then sold it to Dean. As far as I know, Dean still has it. I hope someday to be able to buy it from him when the time is right. This frame spent its whole life until a few years ago here in central IL.
