Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

I've seen alot here but not from Specialized, made in China heavy steel ones and so the chicks here don't like them. This one you have is cute, it's got to be aluminium right? The grips really go along well with the paintwork and all. Get her a pair of lavender or pink tires.

Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

Good idea! With aluminium bars this bike is gonna be the female version of the LaserLite smile Please do let me know what kinda aluminium bars you're looking for, i've been searching all around the shops here but i can't find any..all i see is the oversized MTB bars.Thanks.

Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

Is that a 24" rear wheel, or is it just the angle?

--edit: now that I look closely, it's the angle.

Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

You'll have to get with me when your little girl outgrows this one.  My girl is 5 and will need this bike in about 3 or 4 years...
I've got a set of pink aluminum redline bars -might look cute on here, or maybe purple would be best.  (pink because the red ano has faded.)
The real way to lighten this up would be to put an aluminum or carbon fork on the front -something from answer or bombshell.
The A1 frames are light, but the stock forks are boat anchors -like most chromoly forks.
You are the only one with one of these in the Museum.... enviable position to hold.

Stuff I want: 2000 24" DB Reactor Team frame ,  Voxom and Enigma stuff. Alliant / Radix stem and stuff.  JW and Stiffys stuff.  Cool late mid-school cruiser parts.

Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

Hi,
I have a near perfect, garaged, fatgirl. the pad has not been attached and the paperwork is hanging from the handlebars.  I am ready to sell and was hoping for pricing help?
Thanks!!!

You'll havet to watch to one currently on ebay to see pricing.
They go from 45 to 90 plus shipping typically.

Re: 1999 Specialized Fatgirl

Awesome bike ! used to have a Specialized Fatboy a few years back an it was the bomb .
had to shorten the handlebars they were way too long tho ...
I didn't find it to be the lightest despite the aluminum frame but that is one tough frame .
Nice find !

I collect/hoard/fix/buy/sell BMX bikes , vintage road bikes , cruisers , mtb , bikes in general ....
Also do the same with old school chevys and classic cars/trucks
