My first bike shop score
Went on an 11hr road trip today with another member, to check out a lead on a small stash of bmx goods left over form a former bike shop owner who closed up about 15 years ago. His kid kept alot of stuff from his racing days. Everything he had was from his fathers shop. We anticipated it being a larger stash, but it still turned out to be a worthwhile trip.
A few notables MCS Magna cruiser- he raced it from 80-82
nos 1980 king sting- missing headbadge
nos kos cruiser
moosegoose- built by his father
and the kuwi
and a bunch of parts
if anyone can help with info on the serial numbers, please lmk
pics are gone thanks to the new photobucket

My statements of opinion are made in good faith, and believed that they are true. Adequate research into the truthfulness of the statement and any involvement of Fair comment on matters of public interest. Never done with the intent to do harm or with reckless disregard for the truth, as in cases to show that there is a well-founded public interest in the specific information and in the interest of the public.

Well worth the road trip!! Nice King Sting. The holiest, of holy grail colors in the King Sting!!!!!
Wanted- White Industries Freewheel 19T and 20T, and Big Gulp bars- because I think they look goofy enough to cruise with!

Re: My first bike shop score
it was a fun road trip with nick , i kept the kuwahara kz1 and the mcs magna cruise , yes thats a blue cooks stem on kuwahara the mcs has cooks sealed bearings , definitely a fun one , and to pull this many 26" cruisers out of one spot has to be a recent record

The Campy hubs and gold petals belong on the King Sting build, along with the Cooks slant stem. get busy, you've got work to do!

Re: My first bike shop score
Awesome score. If you decide to part with that blue dx seat post I would definitely be interested.
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

And it rides like a dream. His father knew how to dial in a bike. 39t up front with a 21t freewheel. it feels effortless, and rolls forever
