2012 Haro San Diego Dennis Enarson
2012 Haro San Diego Dennis Enarson
My first complete new-school ride.
Was on the prowl for something a bit new-school. Got back from vacation(sort of) and spotted this used frame hanging in a local bike shop for a great price. The finish was pretty chipped up but no dents or major damage. So I decided to strip it raw and put a little clear coat on it.
This was mostly an experiment being that it's my first new-school bike. Was a little leary being a taller fellow on a 20.5" tt but I'm finding it quite comfortable. I do mostly flat and street and it feels great for that. Probably helps that the steerer tube on the fork is un-cut, the bars have a decent rise to them and the stem has a 50mm reach. But the weight is taking some getting use too. Being an old/mid-school guy, I'm use to my bikes being a tad on the heavy side. This one clocks in at about 26.5lbs fully loaded. This thing is just too easy to throw around. For riding parks, though, I'll probably snag something with a 21+" tt. I can see where that would have it's advantages. Parts:2012 Haro SD DT frameHaro Kneesaver bars(mid-school).Odyssey Classic Flat fork.Front wheel: Alienation 440 48h hoop laced to a Primo SOB hub.Back wheel: GSport 48h Rollcage rim laced to an Odyssey Reloader Freecoaster hub(10t).Kenda Kontact 20 x 2.25 tires.Dia-Tech Hombre brakes with clear Odyssey pads.Tektro levers.Snafu Mobeus Detangler.Odyssey Twisted PC LE pedals(blueberry).Redline Monster Cranks.Salt 25t chainwheelStolen Thermalite Pegs.Shadow Conspiracy 320mm seat post.Odyssey Senior2 pivotal seat.Stolen Convict TL stem.Redline Device Grips with Odyssey bar ends...etc, etc...

Thanks guys!
And I already have my eyeball on another ns frame. Looking at a 2012 Redline Device with a 21.25" tt that's been hanging at the local shop for quite a while now. It's a little on the spendy side but maybe next month I can snag it.

Very Nice sir! I built up a 2014 Haro SD V2 as my main rider just recently and I love it. Its a 21 inch tt but I'm tall as well so it works out perfect for me. Good Job!
I just subitted mine to the museum it should be up shortly.
